Chromed & Galvanized
The main purposes of electroplating include:Corrosion Protection: A protective metal layer is formed on the surface of the workpiece to prevent the base material from being exposed to air, moisture, or chemical media, thereby avoiding oxidation or corrosion and extending the product’s service life.
Enhanced Aesthetics: Adds metallic luster or diverse decorative finishes to the surface, improving the product’s visual appeal and market competitiveness.
Increased Surface Hardness and Wear Resistance: Improves the wear resistance of components, reduces surface wear during use, and enhances overall durability.
Improved Electrical or Thermal Conductivity: Particularly suitable for industries with high electrical performance requirements, such as electronics, electrical engineering, and telecommunications.
Special Functional Properties: Depending on the application, the coating can provide magnetic resistance, high-temperature resistance, lubricity, anti-reflective properties, and more.
This process not only enhances corrosion resistance to extend the service life of components, but also meets consumer demands for visual and tactile quality. Electroplating is widely applied across various fields, including the automotive industry, protective decoration, corrosion prevention, performance enhancement, and specialized industrial applications.

Chromed

Definition: Chromium plating refers to the process of applying a layer of chromium onto the surface of a metal or certain non-metal materials through electrochemical or chemical methods. This enhances corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and surface hardness, while also providing a mirror-like decorative finish.
Application: Home appliances, consumer electronics, automotive components, hardware products, and furniture accessories.
Features:Chrome-plated rods are commonly used and important components in industrial equipment. Unlike standard polished rods, chrome-plated rods undergo specialized chrome plating to enhance overall performance. There are two main types of chrome plating: decorative (standard) chrome plating and hard chrome plating. Among them, hard chrome plating is the superior method, significantly improving surface hardness, wear resistance, and service life of the rod.
1. Good surface finish;
2. No rust, no rust spots;
3. The original part deforms little during the plating process;
4. If the size of the part is not in place, it can be achieved by adding a few wires of chrome.
Galvanized

Definition: Zinc plating refers to a surface treatment technique that applies a layer of zinc onto the surface of metals, alloys, or other materials through physical or chemical methods to achieve corrosion protection. The zinc coating prevents the base material from coming into direct contact with air, moisture, and other corrosive elements, thereby extending the service life of the material.
Application Fields: Industrial fasteners (screws, nuts, bolts), various metal brackets, shafts, connectors, and other related components.
Advantages of galvanized:
1 Excellent Corrosion Resistance
The zinc coating effectively prevents steel from coming into contact with air, moisture, and other corrosive elements, significantly extending product lifespan—especially suitable for outdoor or humid environments.
2 High Cost-Effectiveness
Compared to other anti-corrosion methods (such as stainless steel or spraying), galvanizing is lower in cost and offers a high performance-to-price ratio, making it ideal for large-scale applications.
3 Sacrificial Anode Protection
Even if the coating is damaged, the zinc will corrode first, thereby protecting the underlying steel from oxidation.
4 Strong Adhesion and Workability
The zinc layer forms a strong bond with the base material and remains intact during subsequent bending, welding, or threading operations.
5 Low Maintenance Cost
Zinc coatings are highly durable and generally require no additional maintenance, allowing for long-term use with reduced upkeep frequency and cost.
6 Varied Appearance Options
The surface can be finished in blue-white zinc, rainbow (iridescent) zinc, black zinc, and other styles, offering a certain level of decorative appeal.
